    FAQ BIMkit

There are several differences: First of all, the plug-ins available with the BIMkit Free license are BK Tiles (for tiling) and BK Panels (for raised floors and suspended ceilings), while those available with the BIMkit DOC license are BK Gialli e Rossi (for comparative layouts) and BK Docfa (for exporting DXF files compatible with DOCFA). Secondly, BIMkit Free plug-ins are available free of charge, whereas BIMkit DOC plug-ins require an annual subscription.
Yes, the installer is the same for all plug-ins. The installed add-ons will activate depending on the license you own.
BIMkit DOC is available via annual subscription. For more information on pricing and how it works, please visit the Pricing page of our website.
Yes, when attempting to open one of the subscription-based products like those in BIMkit DOC, the user is asked whether they’d like to be contacted by a sales representative. Once contacted, you can request a 2-week trial license to test the plug-ins.
Currently, BIMkit is available for versions 27 and 28. It will always be supported on the latest and the immediately previous version of ARCHICAD.
Yes, but each additional workstation must have a BIMkit Client. There are two ways to obtain additional BIMkit Clients: - Offsite Client (free): allows you to move the BIMkit DOC license to another computer along with the same Archicad license. - Collaborate Client (paid): allows you to move the BIMkit DOC license to a collaborator’s computer using a different Archicad license than the original one. This option allows you to alternate the use of the same BIMkit DOC license on multiple workstations for the cost of the extra client and license alignment.
